Touched

유기로 제작한 문 손잡이 '터치드'는 문을 열기 위해 반드시 손으로 붙잡아야 하는 손잡이의 감성을 극대화한 아이템이다. 유기를 손으로 정성스럽게 두들겨서 제작한 흔적을 남겨서 사용자로 하여금 장인의 손을 맞잡는 듯한 느낌을 주고자 한다.

The door handle ‘Touched’ is the item that maximizes the sensibility of the handle that must be held by hand in order to open the door. By leaving a trail made by carefully tapping the Korean brass by hand, the user is trying to give the impression of the craftsman when she grabs the handle.

The Shade  

대나무 그림자 속에 옷과 물건을 숨겨 둔다는 콘셉트로 진행된 '셰이드 컬렉션'은 전통 짜맞춤 방식으로 만든 가구에 죽공예를 결합한 시리즈다.대나무를 직조한 면과 풀린 부분을 적절히 활용해 자연스럽게 재질을 쓰임을 부여하고자 한다.

The starting point of ‘Shade collection’ is to develop new usage of weaving bamboo to hide clothes inside of the furniture, which is combined between Korean traditional furniture structure and a bamboo craft. It is to formulate usage of the material by utilizing naturally two textures from weaving and unweaving of a bamboo.

Silence bell

호텔을 위한 종 '사일런스 벨'은 더욱 격식있게 누군가를 부를 수 있도록 고안했다. 흔들어서 소리를 내는 것이 아니라 탁상 위에 있는 종을 약간만 위로 들기만 해도 소리가 맑게 울린다. 종을 세워두는 받침대의 작은 돌기가 종의  추를 잡아놓고 있다가 사용자가 종을 집어 올리면 추가 흔들면서 소리가 난다.

‘Silence Bell’ for the hotel is designed to make it more formal to call someone. The bell makes a clear sound when you lift it up smooth, instead of swing a bell. The small protuberance of the pedestal is holding the clapper of the bell, and when the user picks up the bell, it shakes and makes a sound.
